Feature Photographer: Holly Howe Photography

We've seen a lot of very talented and creative photographers over the last few years, and it was so hard to narrow it down to just one for this week's feature- but we did it, and we couldn't be happier with our choice!

We reached out to Holly Howe, a Moncton based photographer, after spending hours oooh-ing and ahhh-ing over her Facebook page and blog. There is something about her photos that is not only stunning, but also seems to capture the personality of her subject's in every single shot.

We asked her a few simple questions, and her answers were just as we hoped!

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

"I shot my first wedding in 2008, but I officially left my other job to pursue photography in 2010. Been shooting weddings ever since! I absolutely love it!"

What made you want to become a wedding photographer?

"I love the opportunity to work with a couple on their most perfect day. The chance to encourage them and walk with them - through the initial consult, their engagement session, more planning sessions lots of emails and then to come to their wedding day - meeting their families, experiencing such a joy-filled day with them (can't help but cry during the vows), it's all so incredible. It's the happiest day of their lives. My couples quickly become my friends, and I'm over-the-moon excited for them and the journey they're embarking on together! Pinch me!"

What is your favourite part of the job?

"My favourite part of my job is shooting - obviously! Haha! Engagement sessions are my fave. For many couples, it's the first time they've ever "posed" in front of a camera. They're nervous, they don't know what to do - but that's ok. We go for a walk, we talk, we laugh, they share their story, I listen and gush and awwww at them and basically coach them through it. I have some go-to poses that I like to use but oftentimes, it's the moments in between, the candid moments, that are the best. By the end of it, I am so in love with them and photography all over again. And I'm all the more excited about their wedding day!"

Do you have a favorite photo you'd like us to share?

Not sure I can pick a favourite! Lol!!! It's like picking my favourite child - you can't! (and I have 3!) Can I share a few?
