Top 10 Wedding Planning Tips

1. Don't rush to make any decisions! Take your time to talk things out with your vendors, gather quotes, and weigh all options.

2. Start with a budget. Make this your step one. Especially if you're on a tighter budget, decide on what your must-haves are for your wedding, and what you can do without.

3. Create a Pinterest board (or boards) to start collecting ideas, not only does this help to keep all of your thoughts in one place, it's also a great tool to send your planning or decorator later!

4. Don't take on too many projects. We LOVE DIY, but too much of a good things isn't always a good thing. In this case, it'll leave you tired, burnt out, stressed out, and covered in glitter.

5. Don't feel like you have to stick with all of the traditions! But know that it's okay if you want to! You can choose to follow all of the traditions, some of them, or none at all!

6. Even if you're planning your own wedding, consider hiring some support for the day of your wedding. This saves yourself, your mother, or your maid of honour from having to try to organize everything, and allows you to actually enjoy the festivities!

7. Above all else, remember that the wedding belongs to you and your fiancé only! It's great to ask family and friends for their opinions and advice, but remember that all decisions are ultimately yours!

8. Wait until all of your RSVPs have come back to attempt your seating chart- otherwise you'll be constantly changing and rearranging!

9. Confirm everything the week before (if you've hired a coordinator or month-of coordinator, this is a service they should provide).

10. Don't forget to take the time to actually enjoy both the process, and the day itself!
